The Montana Historical Society (MHS) Research Center maintains a large collection of library, archive, and photographic materials. There are several ways to access our extensive collection:

Interlibrary Loan Requests
Certain reference materials in our collection are available for interlibrary loan. Learn more.
Research Center Requests
If you are not able to visit the Montana Historical Society (MHS) Research Center to conduct your own research, we can assist you for a small fee (MHS Members get 2 complimentary research requests per year).
PLEASE NOTE: Research Request fees will increase beginning September 1, 2009. Please see our Fees page for the new fee schedule.
